HeatCalc app for iPhone and iPad

HEATCalc is a native iPad app from ISOLITE for calculating the insulation thickness, operating temperature and surface temperature of a particular component – in this example a pipe. Either ISOLITE XP or ISOLITE MINILEIT can be selected as the insulating technology and the simulation basis.

Press one of the three input/output fields and use the selector wheel to pick a value. If you now enter a value in the second input field, the third field automatically becomes an output field displaying the value calculated from the two input values.

Because the calculation basis refers only to the high-temperature operating range from 400 to 1,000°C and the relevant surface temperatures, some values cannot be selected in certain circumstances and are deactivated on the display. For example, if you select a surface temperature that cannot be achieved with an insulation thickness of less than 15 mm or only at operating temperatures below the 400°C mark, all values lower than 15 mm will be deactivated when selecting the insulation thickness.

Press the reset button to start a new calculation or to change the output field.

To switch between our ISOLITE MINILEIT and ISOLITE XP insulating technologies, press the relevant buttons below the calculation fields. The values in the calculation fields are automatically adjusted in line with the material selected.
